about ME
I was born and raised in Michigan and Wisconsin, where I found my love of animals and the outdoors. I relocated to San Francisco in 2000, and after years of working in the restaurant industry, I eventually needed a change and took a job walking dogs for one of the large dog-walking companies in SF. Shortly after, I moved on to work at a small-dog daycare facility, where I became fascinated with animal behavior and the science of learning. I was accepted into Jean Donaldson's esteemed Academy for Dog Trainers, earning my Certificate in Training and Counseling in 2015.
As a trainer, my primary goal is to improve the understanding and relationships between owners and dogs. I strive to attain the best possible results quickly and cost-effectively. I don't use shock, prong or pinch collars. There will be no intimidation or alpha-rolls. We will be creating simple, clear consequences together. If your dog gets it right, we will reward them. If they get it wrong, we will remove a resource. As far as I know, science has yet to discover more humane options than those I offer.
I currently reside in the Castro in San Francisco, with my husband Matthew and our 13 year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, James Bubbalicious, who has drastically altered our lives in the most profound and incredible way.
